On-A-Roll-Student®
is our registered trademark, duly entered on the Principal Register at the US Patent and Trademark Office. It is registered for use on wristbands and apparel.
It is specifically designed to provide motivation to middle and high school students who might not otherwise receive traditional recognition for their efforts in preparing for graduation, college and adulthood. On-A-Roll-Student allows for self-motivation of the best kind and the kind most likely to provide ongoing results. Equally applicable is its relevance for all college students.
We draw what we see as an important distinction between On-A-Roll-Student and Honor Roll Student accolades. The latter is bestowed on students by a third party and is exclusionary in that it is usually grade-based, not commitment-based. On-A-Roll-Student displays self-motivation and is wholly inclusionary. If a student is committed to succeeding, then the student personally bestows the accolade.
Dictionary definition: "on a roll" means "undergoing or experiencing sustained, even increasing, good fortune or success"
Our use of the term "on a roll" together with "student" is based on the idea that something which is rolling tends to continue rolling ...all the way to graduation!
Students display their commitment to best efforts in their education by purchasing and sporting an On-A-Roll-Student wristband and apparel. To foster individual commitment, we strongly recommend that the student makes the purchase themselves and not as a gift from a parent, friend or educator.
Student
institutions and organizations (schools, colleges, universities,
fraternities and sororities) may wish to license the registered
trademark ON-A-ROLL-STUDENT for use either as an imprint or
embroidered, on all types of apparel, such as t-shirts, sweat shirts,
pants, caps, hoodies, jackets, etc., as well as silicon wristbands.
Since
it is likely that the licensee will wish to use its own logo and colors
in conjunction with our trademark, we do not provide the wristband or finished
apparel product but license the right to use the registered trademark in
return for a flat license fee
The annual
license fee is $1,500 per institution and gives, to that specific
institution only, a one-year license to use our registered trademark, on
wristbands and apparel only, an unlimited number of times.
A perpetual license, for wristbands and apparel only, can be purchased for a one-time fee of $3,600* per institution. * perpetual license is priced at 3 years of a one-year license rate less 20% namely $1,500 x 3 x 80%
We are prepared to enter into a Master License agreement with an organization that can demonstrate an in-depth penetration of the student retail marketplace. That market comprises 20,000,000 students in middle and high school together with, at least, another 20,000,000 in college and further education. The middle school market refreshes itself with an annual influx of 4,000,000 incoming students. We also created and own all the intellectual property rights in the wording of the slogan shown below, equally applicable to students, parents and educators.
We will license use of the slogan to K-12 schools and colleges/universities on a one-time fee, per campus, in perpetuity, as follows: ...K-12 schools, at $350 ...colleges & universities, at $1,000
